"Until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be known as Angelpaw." The ginger leader stared at the small white apprentice, then to a black she-cat. "Your mentor will be Blackpool." Blackpool's green eyes widened with surprise, and she came up to her new white apprentice, and touched noses.
"Angelpaw! Angelpaw!" The kits from the entrance of the nursery yowled the loudest, along with the warriors. Angelpaw's white chest fluffed up with pride as she was given her new name. Her beautiful blue eyes sparkled. Blackpool twisted around and started to pad away, with Angelpaw following him. Blazekit stared after the beautiful she-cat, and couldn't help feeling a ripple of jealousy running through his spine. I can't wait till I'm an apprentice! he thought. He closed his eyes, bringing himself into memories, forgetting about the present, standing on the gray rock with the Clan's leader, Foxstar, proudly chanting out his new name, Blazepaw...
"Hey, Blazekit! You need to go back into the nursery!" Daisypaw mewed, staring at Blazekit. The cream-colored she-cat was waving her tail back and fourth, waiting for the orange kit to behave.
Blazekit narrowed his eyes. You're not my mother. But instead of arguing, the kit sighed and went back into the nursery.
Leafkit was batting her paws on the ground, completely focused, with her eyes narrowed. Blazekit cocked his head with confusion. "Something wrong, Leafkit?"
The brown tabby stared up, her eyes back to normal. There was a leaf in front of her paws, and it looked neatly wrapped, with patches of fur in it. She lashed her tail, and her green eyes glittered with joy. "I want to become a medicine cat!" she squeaked.
Blazekit's eyes widened. "But being a medicine cat is so boring!" he mewed back, shocked. Why would anyone want to be a medicine cat? All they do is just take care of the elders' ticks and wrap around this funny-smelling stuff called 'mouse bile'.
Leafkit ignored his mew. "I want to have a special connection with StarClan," she mewed. Her green eyes were glittering again, and she unsheathed her tiny claws. "Wouldn't it be wonderful to meet your ancestors? To predict what's going to happen to the Clan in the future?"
Blazekit sighed. "I'd rather fight FrostClan." It would be boring, collecting plants all day and looking after sick cats..only to risk yourself getting sick! The orange kit stared at Leafkit, and puffed out his chest. "I'm going to be a warrior," he mewed, unsheathing his claws and sinking them in the ground. "And nothing is going to stop my dream!"
Leafkit sighed, then sheathed her claws in. The tiny brown kit padded up to the nursery's exit and poked her head out, enjoying the fresh breeze, sniffing the air.
"Leafkit! Get back in here," a voice hissed, and Leafkit turned around, seeing Spottedpelt in the shadows of the back of the nursery. It was only a black silhouette of a large cat.
Emerging from the shadows, showing her white pelt, Spottedpelt loomed over Leafkit and grabbed her by the scruff. Leafkit squeaked, thrashed her paws around. "I want to help Petalsong!" she complained. Petalsong was the main medicine cat of FeatherClan.
Spottedpelt shook her head, dropping the kit gently on the ground. "You'll only get in her way," she growled. "Now go play with Blazekit." The white queen twisted around and disappeared into the shadows of the den again.
Leafkit sighed, flicking a rock aside with her front paw. "It's so boring here, though," she murmured. "I'm five moons old." the kit added, getting up and turning to Blazekit. "I'm going to ask Foxstar if I can be Petalsong's apprentice." she narrowed her eyes, and her tone was serious. Blazekit's blue eyes widened. "I'll never understand why you want to be a medicine cat,"
Leafkit's fur bristled with anger, then turned around, her back facing him, and curled up in a ball to sleep, tucking her tail over her nose. Sighing, the orange tom did the same, and played with the wet, cool dark brown soil with his tiny claws.
I'll make the Clan proud of me, he thought. I'm going to be the best warrior I'll ever be!

Blazekit's blue eyes opened with the orange sun rays hitting his face at the entrance of the den. The sun was sinking, and the orange kit couldn't resist but look outside the nursery and see what's going on with the Clan. The tom got up, and arched his back to stretch, yawning, spiking up his fur. As he straightened himself up, he flattened his fur, then padded to the entrance of the den. The orange tabby kit poked his head out of the nursery, wincing as the bright orange sun hit his face. He was so used to the dark of the nursery that the sun's rays hurt. But, forcing open his eyes, the tom scanned his head side to side, looking around at the groups of cats who were awake, sharing tongues with each other, and eating prey.
I'm five moons old now, just like Leafkit, the tom thought, pricking his ears. I wonder if I'm allowed to eat prey? Blazekit placed a paw out of the nursery, enjoying the cool wet green grass soaking his black paw pads, then let out another paw, and another. He smiled. This is easy! Spottedpelt is always too tired checking up on me, and Featherkit is always sleeping or playing with Leafkit, too distracted to stop me! As the kit's body was fully out, he checked each side of the camp. Two warriors, a black warrior with a small white apprentice were sharing prey with each other, and Blazekit noticed a black she-cat next to the white apprentice. That must be Angelpaw and Blackpool, he guessed, But who's that other black apprentice? He took a step forward, to greet his best friend, until a pelt blocked his way. Bumping into the pelt, Blazekit fell backwards, letting out a tiny shriek of surprise. He stared up, his blue eyes widened, finding a ginger she-cat with a white-tipped tail staring down at him. It was Foxstar. Flatting his ears, Blazekit turned his head, expecting anger to burst out of the leader. But instead of the harsh, anger tone, Foxstar brushed his tail on Blazekit's head. "Curiosity, as always," she mewed. "Why are you out of the nursery?"
Blazekit turned his head and faced his leader bravely. "I only wanted to try some fresh-kill, since I'm old enough now," he mewed. Foxstar's eyes glittered with amusement. "You can have a taste, but you must go back into the nursery after." Twisting around, the ginger she-cat padded over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a tiny gray mouse that had a white underbelly. Blazekit's mouth watered. He couldn't wait! His first fresh-kill tryout! The orange tom stood up and licked his lips, his fur fluffed up with excitement. What will it taste like? Dirt? Sweet? Sea water..?
Foxstar bent her head and placed the mouse down in front of him. She sat down and wrapped her tail neatly over her ginger paws. Nodding, giving Blazekit permission for the first bite, the kit padded up to the mouse. He opened his mouth, showing his small, white teeth, and, as he was about to bend his head to sink his teeth in the dead body, Foxstar blocked his way by moving her tail onto the mouse. She shook her head. "Thank StarClan for the meal, first. That is part of the warrior code."
Blazekit nodded, and sent a silent prayer of thanks to StarClan. Then he looked up at Foxstar, and finally, as she moved her tail out of the way, the orange kit dived in the prey, sinking his teeth in, enjoying the warm, sweet, red blood gushing in between his jaws.
This is delicious! He thought with satisfaction as he finished chewing the meat, swallowing. It's even better than milk! The orange kit sank his teeth in the dead mouse again, enjoying each flavor that burst in his mouth, the warm taste of blood, and the chewy meat that crunched between his tiny white teeth. After about a few moments, the orange tabby let out a burp, then stared at Foxstar. The leader chuckled. "So," she mewed. "How was your first prey?"
Blazekit licked his lips, trying to lick out the last delicious taste from his mouth. "It was delicious! I wish I can have it every day!" The FeatherClan leader let out a mrrow of laughter, and stood up. She brushed her ginger tail on Blazekit's side. "Now," she purred, "it's time to go back into the nursery, young one. I'll let Spottedpelt know that I was with you."
Blazekit nodded, and twisted around, feeling joy rise in his pelt as he was running. I can't believe I tasted my first fresh-kill! he thought, bursting with pride. Wait till I tell Featherkit and Leafkit!
As the kit finally ran up to the black den, he padded in, but, instead of having the warm welcome back greeting from his friends and sister, there was a white pelt standing over him, glaring down at the kit. "What were you doing out of the nursery?" the queen growled. It was Spottedpelt.
Worked kind of hard on this~
Took me at least two days to finish, also because I was lazy on it, lol.
Not too advanced for specific details. I sort of tried, but not really.

I'm going to try to make these chapters long, so enjoy this one~!
